Paros Yacht Charter General Information:

The island of Poros is a perfect place from which to explore the Islands of the Saronic Gulf. Historically important, this was the site of the first naval base in Greece, established in 1827 during the Greek War of Independance. Whether heading north towards the Corinth Canal or south to Spetses and Hydra, this sheltered area offers varied and relaxing sailing opportunities for all.

Our base is on the Town Quay itself, right in the heart of Poros Town, with its vibrant and sophisticated mix of tavernas and bars.

The Weather

Reliable sunshine is virtually guaranteed during the season between early May and late October, with temperatures ranging from the low 70's in early and late season up to the high 80's or even low 90's in late June through August. Winds are predictable with moderate to fresh winds (force 2-5) in the afternoon.

Flight Information

Saturday morning scheduled flights from Gatwick or Heathrow to Athens, with afternoon or evening return. Flight time 3 hrs 20 mins. Regional flights available from Luton, Manchester and Glasgow on request.

Transfer Information

40-50 minute road transfer to Piraeus then 1 hour Hydrofoil/Flying Cat crossing to Poros.
