Bodrum Sailing – itinerary

 

1 WEEK ROUTE
Day 1 UK to Bodrum and transfer to Turgutreis Marina for embarkation.
Day 2 Black island - Orak Island - Kisebuk. - 23nm.
Day 3 Kisebuk to Seven Islands. - 21nm.
Day 4 Seven islands - Langoz - English Harbour. - 14nm.
Day 5 English Harbour - Cleopatra Island - Karacasogut. - 11nm.
Day 6 Karacasogut - Cokertme. - 20nm.
Day 7 Cokertme - Yaliciftlik - Turgutreis Marina. - 32nm.
Day 8 Disembarkation and transfer to Bodrum airport.
2 WEEK ROUTE
Day 1 UK to Bodrum and transfer to Turgutreis Marina for embarkation.
Day 2 Cruise to the Greek Island of Kos. Optional excursion to Hippocrates famous Asklepion. Overnight Kos harbour.
Day 3 sail on to Nissyros, a volcanic island. Optional excursion to the crater and several villages. Overnight Mandrakion.
Day 4 Across to Tilos, which has remains from prehistoric times, and was once the breadbasket of the islands. Optional tour of the island. Overnight Livadia.
Day 5 Cruise to Symi, the most elegantly architectural of all the islands. A real gem. Optional excursion to the old monastery of Panormitis. Overnight Symi harbour.
Day 6 Cruise back into 'The Sea of Tranquillity'. Overnight Bozburun. Or, alternatively stay a 2nd night on Symi.
Day 7 Sail the 'Sea of Tranquillity'. Overnight Orhaniye.
Day 8 Sail to Knidos and explore the impressive ruins of the ancient city. Overnight in Mersincik Bay.
Day 9 Mersinicik - Yedi Adalar(Seven Islands). This chain of small islands close to the coast offers good sport for underwater fishermen.
Day 10 Yedi Adalar - English Harbour. A large bay with many creeks and anchorages, the place gets its name from the time when English torpedo boats used it as a base during the Second World War. The fields and woods around the bay make for attractive strolls ashore.
Day 11 English Harbour - Cedrae - Sogut. Another lovely little bay in an idyllic setting. Visit ancient Cedrae on nearby Castle Island. A small beach on the west side of the island is known as Cleopatra's Beach (the island is also known as Cleopatra's Island).
Day 12 Sogut - Cokertme. Cokertme is an attractive setting with impressive mountains rising behind. One or two little restaurants offering good, simple local dishes.
Day 13 Cokertme - Oraklar Island. Oraklar Island is a rocky little island with some pleasant, sheltered coves for swimming and water sports.
Day 14 Oraklar Island - Bodrum. Enjoy a leisurely sail back to Turgutreis Marina.
Day 15 Disembarkation and transfer to Bodrum airport.
