LOCAL EXCURSIONS
There is a wealth of notable excursions available in this area. The most famous is Ancient Olympia, birth place of the Olympic Games. At 40 minutes drive the city of Patras is the 3rd city of Greece with a bustling shopping district and lively nightlife. Notable sights include the attractive old town and castle and the well known Achaia Klaus wine museum.
Further along the coast the new Rion bridge is one of the world's longest suspension bridges linking the Peloponnese with the mainland and an ideal route to visit ancient Delphi. Close by the west are the Araxos and Metochi lagoons, protected wetlands of international repute. A local guide operates an excellent mountain bike tour.
Car hire can be either pre booked or booked locally.
FACILITIES
On site facilities include the terrace restaurant overlooking the beach, the lively club-house bar which stays open till late and has a pool table, darts and a large beachside terrace. The beach bar with its chic sofas is perfect for either beach refreshments or pre-dinner drinks. There is also a snack bar overlooking the large freshwater swimming pool and children's paddling pool.
For the more active, apart from all the sailing on offer, there are two tennis courts, table tennis, crazy golf and even beach volleyball. The helpful and friendly reception staff also offer money exchange. There are complimentary internet stations available here and a mini market/gift shop. Our children's club operates during school holidays for children aged four and above.
A babysitting service is available by private arrangement through reception.
The pleasant bungalows offer hotel style accommodation and all have a terrace, en-suite bathroom with shower or bath tub, air conditioning, colour TV, wall safe and mini fridge. The rooms generally accommodate two or three. A small number accommodate two adults plus two children in bunk beds. Superior sea-front and pool-front bungalows are available at a supplement.
Accommodation is offered on half board basis with breakfast and dinner daily.
Our sailing club caters for a maximum of 60 Seafarer guests and is run by our own team of instructors and safety crew. Equipment on offer includes twenty windsurfers with a choice of rigs, a range of sailing dinghies including four Taz (by Topper), six Toppers, two new Lazer Pico's, two Laser Bahias as well as two larger Omega dinghies and two Dart 16 catamarans. All the dinghies were new for 2006 or 2007. We also have a 35 foot yacht based on the site for optional sailing courses and day trips.
Our club sailing team offer continuous supervision and safety boat cover as well as advice and regular complimentary sailing clinics for beginners and intermediates alike. Daily Club operating times are typically 09:30- 13:00 & 14:00 to 17:30 when our safety patrol and beach staff are on duty. Times may vary according to wind conditions. Optional one and two day sailing tuition courses on offer include:
Intro to sailing / windsurfing: Beginners course for adults or children 9 and over.
Level II - intermediate skills: Courses are offered for dinghy sailors and windsurfers.
One day courses cost £35 pp, two day courses cost £69pp and are bookable locally.
Pre Flotilla Courses*
Pre-Flotilla yacht sailing courses are available from 2 days to 5 days and cost between £99 - £249. These can be pre-booked or booked locally.
