The Hotel Split enjoys panoramic views of the Adriatic and nearby islands of Brac and Solta. The historic city of Split with its many bars and cosmopolitan restaurants is a short taxi ride, or for the more energetic, a 45 minute walk away. This modern, wellappointed and relatively secluded hotel is set into the local wooded hillside above a Blue Flag awarded beach amid attractive mature gardens. The hotel facilities include restaurant, bar, beach bar, freshwater swimming pool, a beauty treatment room with massage, tanning beds and sauna rooms. The jewel of the Adriatic, and probably the best preserved medieval city in the world. Its imposing walls date back to the 11th century and the city boasts a wealth of churches, monasteries, palaces and museums from the Venetian and earlier Byzantine periods. A walk along the ramparts is a must before exploring the many squares and cobbled streets hiding treasures too numerous to mention.
Hotel Lapad 3*
Situated on the approach to the Lapad peninsula, west of Dubrovnik and overlooking Gruz harbour, the Hotel Lapad is built in the style of two elegant 19th century Victorian pavilions centred round a large courtyard with swimming pool. The 192 rooms are provided on two storeys in the main pavilion and behind the reception are bars and a la carte restaurant. There is a regular bus service to the old city some 5km away and, during the summer months the hotel provides a boat service to local beaches. Rooms have satellite television and a telephone. Most rooms have garden or pool views and most have a balcony. Some rooms have air-conditioning for which a supplement is charged locally.
