The sheltered waters of the Ionian sea form an ideal location from which to start yachting or to further your sailing skills and experience by taking an RYA Course.

Seafarer Training our Lefkas based sailing school in Greece offers a full range of courses, from beginner courses such as Start Yachting or Competent Crew up to Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper for the more advanced and experienced sailors. We also offer Yacht Master preparation and mile builder voyages in the Greek Isles and beyond.

If your goal is to charter a yacht for family holidays, then consider an RYA Day Skipper Course, which in these non-tidal waters will give you the practical experience and theoretical knowledge needed to safely charter in the more sheltered areas of the Mediterranean. Most of our courses are offered as 7 night packages where you have a full 7 nights on board the yacht. It means that there is some time to enjoy and explore the various destinations we visit during the week, do some swimming or simply relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery as well as the necessary time to give full attention to your training and complete your course syllabus. We can arrange flights and transfers as part of the package (Seafarer is ATOL licesnsed and bonded) and you could combine a week's training with a further week on holiday either ashore or afloat.

A typical week on one of our courses includes 7 nights accommodation on board, breakfast and light lunch daily, course materials and completion certificate. You would typically visit a different destination every evening with the opportunity to eat ashore in one of the delightful harbourside tavernas. The tuition yacht will visit the same islands as our flotilla on some evenings.

Our experienced instructors are all native English speakers with an intimate knowledge of the area.
