Maurice Dream Cruise Itinerary
Day 1 SATURDAY PORT LOUIS - MERVILLE (13NM / 3 hours)

Arrive in Mauritius and be welcome onboard our catamaran at Caudan Waterfront in the capital situated on the West of the island.  Embarkation is at 1pm and shortly after we will do a safety briefing and discuss the cruise programme. The first course will take you to Merville Bay for an idyllic swim among the colourful fishes.

Day 2 SUNDAY MERVILLE – ILOT GABRIEL (9NM / 2 hours)

Wake up at your first anchorage, Merville Bay. Your crew will take you to nearby beaches and snorkelling spots with the tender boat.

In the early afternoon the catamaran will set sail toward Ilot Gabriel. You will enjoy the rest of the afternoon at this peaceful and lovely anchorage and have the possibility of exploring the islands or simply swim inside the lagoon and snorkel.

Optional excursion 1: Visit of the magnificent Pamplemousses Garden and discovering the history of sugar cane in Mauritius at l’Aventure du Sucre.   

Day 3 MONDAY

ILOT GABRIEL – GRAND BAY (10NM / 2 hours)

You will set sail from Ilot Gabriel and depending on the weather drop anchor at La Baie des Palissage on Flat Island or at the foot of the high cliffs of Coin de Mire Island.
Marvel at the underwater scenery with your snorkelling gear and discover the rich variety of the marine life.
 After lunch you will sail to Grand Bay, the most popular seaside resort of the island and discover its busy life.

Day 4 TUESDAY

GRAND BAY – BALACLAVA (9NM / 2 hours)

From Grand Bay, the crew will take you to Balaclava on the sheltered western side of the island after a lunch stop at Mon Choisy for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking at leisure and to discover this popular beach of the island.

The clients cruising on Grand Baie Dream will disembark at Grand Baie in the morning and clients of Benitier Dream will embark here.

Optional excursion 2: Visit of Domaine Labourdonnais, a beautiful plantation house surrounded by lush gardens and visit of Historic Marine where you will discover the art of ship building.

Day 5 WEDNESDAY

BALACLAVA – LE MORNE LAGOON
(24 NM / 4,5 hours)

After breakfast, we set sail a long cruise to the lagoon of Le Morne, were we will anchor near Crystal rock. You will spend the afternoon in this beautiful spot and have the opportunity to visit Benitier islet with the tender boat. You will admire the sunset with a sun downer drink in your hand and pending clear weather conditions you will even have the chance to see the high summit of Reunion Island on the horizon.

Day 6 THURSDAY LE MORNE LAGOON – GRANDE RIVIERE NOIRE (4 NM / 1 hour)

You will leave this peaceful anchorage and sail to Grande Riviere Noire. You will enjoy the Black River mountain range from the sea and hopefully spot the dolphins.
The catamaran will stop at different snorkelling spots before finally dropping anchor inside Grande Riviere Noire Bay. You will discover this quiet small harbor which is the local capital of deep sea fishing.

Optional excursion 3: Visit of the colored earth of Chamarel, its waterfall and the rum factory. Lunch in Chamarel

Day 7
FRIDAY

GRANDE RIVIERE NOIRE – BAIE DE GOULET (20 NM / 4 hours)

On our excursion today you have the possibility to see dolphins and with some luck you can swim with these beautiful creatures. For those having chosen to stay onboard you may go to the mythical beach of Tamarin or discover the mouth of the Rampart River by sea kayak. Back onboard catamaran set sail towards our last anchorage at Goulet for a last night onboard.

Day 8 SATURDAY BAIE DE GOULET - PORT LOUIS

Early in the morning crew will hoist anchor for a last navigation toward Port Louis to the marina Caudan. Disembark at 08:00 after breakfast.

Day 2: Visit of Domaine Sucrier of Labourdonais with its castel in the nature
Day 3: Visit of the Pamplemousses Garden + Sugar Estate museum
Day 6: Excursion in Chamarel with its colored earth and visit of a rum distillery and lunch
Day 7: Dolphin’s observation from one embarkation
